Rachael Ray once said that good food and a warm kitchen is what makes a house a home. Nothing beats the glorious smell of home-cooked meals wafting through the air.
When she was a child, my client loved watching her mom do her magic in the kitchen. She reached out to me because she wanted to recapture this very special memory in her own home.
At the time, her kitchen was outdated and cramped — it was just a place for her to cook and prepare food. She wanted to transform it into a place where she could create the same memories she made with her mom, and make cooking central to the experience of living in her home.
In a few short weeks, we transformed the kitchen into a space that she can share with her family. It’s bright and inviting, and includes the space she needs so she can experiment all she wants in the kitchen.
The kitchen also now has a seating area where one can enjoy the delicious smell of baked pies in the oven or hearty stew boiling on the stove.
Where once there was a kitchen that simply served its purpose, now it’s a place to create cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
